Is this PDF editor really free?
Yes. Editing and downloading are free with no sign-up and no watermark.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The editor runs entirely in your browser with open-source libraries (pdf.js and pdf-lib). Your PDF is never sent to our servers.
Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?
You can cover existing text with Whiteout and type new text on top. Changing the original text in place is not supported because PDFs do not store editable paragraphs.
Is a signature added here legally binding?

Can I fill in PDF forms?
Yes. Fillable (AcroForm) fields are listed in the Form fields panel. You can also flatten the form so the answers can no longer be changed.
